My Background

I am currently Senior Director of Content Strategy at Hearst Magazines, where I lead audience growth, search strategy, editorial systems, and cross-functional product initiatives across a portfolio of major lifestyle brands including Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan.
Over 13 years in media — first as a journalist and content producer at ABC Owned Television Stations, then as an SEO and audience strategist, and now as a cross-functional strategy leader — I've developed a rare combination: the ability to translate between technical and non-technical teams, the facilitation skills to bring people through uncertainty, and the systems thinking to understand why organizational change succeeds or fails.
In my current role, I've led the development of AI-assisted editorial workflows used by hundreds of writers and editors, built large-scale training programs on AI strategy and digital best practices, and served as a strategic bridge between editorial, product and commerce teams on major platform initiatives.
Outside of my formal role, I'm actively building my understanding of AI safety: immersing myself in expert opinions through books and blog posts, participating in AI-focused programs and hackathons, and seeking out the people and organizations working on these questions seriously.

Work Highlights
Education and Development
2019 - Present
Hearst Magazines
As the longest tenured member of our group's audience development team, I have collaborated with editors on nearly every magazine brand but especially Good Housekeeping (including the Good Housekeeping Institute) and Cosmopolitan. I helped hire and train several members of our team, and I'm now helping our VP shape our work into that of a "team who makes sense of the internet."
2013-2019
ABC Owned Television Stations
As the morning Creative Content Producer for ABC-OTV, I set the tone for the day. I coordinated with producers at stations around the country, sharing content strategy insights while also writing and building multimedia content for coverage of breaking news, entertainment and lifestyle.
