My Skills

My background is in media, but my skills are transferable to any organization navigating complex change, particularly in AI adoption, organizational effectiveness, and cross-functional strategy.

Human-Centered Change Management

I design and lead change efforts that take seriously the fact that people (not technology) determine whether transformation succeeds. This includes stakeholder alignment, resistance navigation, psychological safety, and building the conditions for adoption to stick.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Facilitation

I have spent years serving as the bridge between editorial, product, and commerce teams — translating between professional languages, aligning competing priorities, and helping organizations make decisions that account for the full complexity of their work. My particular strength is making technical concepts legible to non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa.

Systems Thinking and Strategic Investigation

I help organizations move beyond surface-level explanations toward system-level understanding. This means synthesizing perspectives from technical, editorial, product, and business stakeholders to identify patterns, develop hypotheses, and build strategies that account for complexity.

Content Strategy and Audience Development

Thirteen years of content strategy work, including SEO, audience development, editorial planning, content lifecycle management, and platform strategy at scale. This is where I come from, and it informs how I think about every system I work in.

AI Strategy and Workflow Design

I've developed and deployed AI-assisted workflows at scale, built frameworks for evaluating emerging AI tools, and created training programs that build practical AI judgment across large teams, including 200+ writers and editors.

Training and Knowledge Systems

I design and deliver large-scale training programs, build repeatable knowledge systems, and coach managers, strategists, and individual contributors through complex transitions. I believe deeply that how you share knowledge is as important as what you know.

Public Speaking

I have used Google Slides, Canva, Powerpoint and Prezi to build presentations. I regularly lead "strategy pivot" sessions for large teams, and I've led a training for dozens of our international employees. I was also a speaker in an ASME Next panel about digital strategy and the future of publishing.

Organizational Communication and Sense-Making

I translate complexity into clarity — for leadership, for teams, and for the people most affected by change. My background in journalism means I know how to tell a story that makes someone understand something they didn't before.
